LEAD Group Introduces ‘TECHBOOK’ for Modern Learning

On Tuesday, 10thSeptember 2024, LEAD Group introduced an interactive learning aid called TECHBOOK to revolutionise traditional textbook-driven education. According to a press release issued by LEAD Group, the TECHBOOK, introduced in New Delhi, provides three state-of-the-art technologies and an NCF-aligned curriculum to address the primary learning challenges students face today.

Mr Sumeet Mehta, co-founder and CEO of LEAD Group, termed TECHBOOK "a revolutionary outcome of years of research in technology, pedagogy, and curriculum, which will forever change how students learn."

He said, "For centuries, the textbook, a primary tool of education in classrooms has remained unchanged, while AI and AR/VR have moved the world to personalised, multimodal, and gamified experiences across industries. We have bought something from the future, for the future of our nation."

According to Mr Mehta, the initial year of TECHBOOKs will be restricted to the top 400 innovator institutions in the country, with access granted upon invitation. He stated that the objective is to establish a new standard of education and demonstrate to the world that India is a leader in integrating AI and technology into institutions.

The CEO of LEAD Group stated that the company anticipates that by 2028, the majority of India's top 5000 institutions will transition to TECHBOOKS, thereby establishing personalised and interactive learning environments in classrooms nationwide.

Smita Deorah, co-founder and co-CEO of LEAD Group, stated that the objective is to guarantee that every student has access to personalised, high-quality learning by integrating the tactile experience of a textbook with the power of technology and extensively researched educational content.

Features of the TECHBOOK: 

• Augmented Reality: TECHBOOK utilises the Augmented Reality Instructor (ARI) to bring subjects like Science and Mathematics to life, allowing students to engage with the material in 3D.

• Personalised Reading Fluency: TECHBOOK's IRA (Independent Reading Assistant) is a personal tutor for language learning. It reads books aloud to students, attends to their reading, and provides real-time feedback on their reading fluency and pronunciation.

• Personalised Practice: PIE (Personalised Interactive Exercises) provides students infinite adaptive exercises. Allowing students to grasp subjects at their own pace makes learning enjoyable and continuous.
