Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is a public college set up by the authorities of India in Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) was set up in 1960 as one of the eight colleges for engineering education in the country. IIEST, Shibpur (Erstwhile "Bengal Engineering College") ranks 21th in NIRF-2020 among Engineering Institutes. It is the first college to become Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) in India in 2014. The Institute has a rich history. It is empowering the nation since 1856. Considering the year of establishment, it is the 3rd engineering college in India but considering the year of graduation it is the 2nd oldest engineering college in India. It has 16 departments and 8 schools. It has over 250 faculty members and a student strength of over 4000.

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology was instituted with a vision to empower the aspiring professionals with the technological knowledge and professional expertise under the aegis of JIS Group Educational Initiatives in the year 2003. NARULA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is a leading autonomous Engineering and Management Institute under the aegis of JIS Group Educational Initiative since 2001 and is located at Agarpara, Kolkata.

Haldia Institute of Technology, better known as HIT Haldia, is an autonomous engineering institute in Haldia, West Bengal, India, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). It is an institution maintained by ICARE (Indian Center for Advancement of Research and Education, Haldia ICARE, Haldia), a non-profit making voluntary organization. It is one of the oldest accredited academic institution catering technical education in West Bengal. The Institute offers 13 B.Tech, 5 M.Tech and MCA, MBA courses.

UEM Kolkata is established in the year 2014 by Act No 25 of 2014 of Govt of West Bengal.UEM Kolkata has stood one out of the top 10 institutes of India including all IITs and all NITs of the country in the NPTEL program ranked by IIT Kharagpur and IIT Chennai. Asansol Engineering College, a self financing institute established in the year 1998. It is situated at Asansol, Burdwan, West Bengal. It offers BTech, BCA, BBA, MCA and M.Tech in various disciplines.
