CM Himanta Biwsa Sarma Reviews Fee-Waiver Education Scheme for Higher Education
On Monday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma examined the operation of Pragyan Bharti, a fee-waiver plan for free admission to academic institutes run by the state's Higher Education Department. According to the policy, students whose parent's annual income is less than Rs 2 lakh are entitled to free admission to higher education courses in the state.
UGC releases new Curriculum and Credit Framework for Post-Graduate Programmes
Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced a revised curriculum and credit structure for postgraduate programs, offering a flexible academic journey. This new framework, unveiled on Sunday, allows students to choose their subjects of interest without any prerequisite subjects for admission. It outlines the credits and academic organisation for both one-year and two-year postgraduate programs, and even provides an option to exit after the first year of the two-year program, giving students more control over their learning path.

Alert! IGNOU Admission 2024 Deadline Extended
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for new admission to the July 2024 academic year. Students planning to apply for the July 2024 session of online distance learning (ODL) and online programs will now have another registration deadline. The revised deadline is 15th October 2024. Previously, the registration deadline for the ODL and online programmes was 30th September 2024.
KEAM 3rd Round Counselling Final Allotment
The Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2024 Round 3 seat allotment results were announced by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala on 6th of September 2024. DU NCWEB 3rd Round Admission Cutoff Released
The University of Delhi's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (DU NCWEB) has announced the third cutoff list for B.A and B.Com courses. Students who have submitted an application for admission to DU NCWEB in 2024 may access the third cut-off list by visiting the official website, ncweb.du.ac.in. Furthermore, the admission process has commenced. Additionally, students may consult the University of Delhi's official website, du.ac.in, to verify the cut-off list.

The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) commenced round 1 of the registration procedure for TS ICET counselling 2024 on 1st September 2024. The registration will be done at the official website tgicet.nic.in. Candidates can register till 8th September 2024.
