CUET Score Not Mandatory for Assam College Admissions
Due to the lack of a clear mandate from the state government or universities, most general degree colleges in Assam will not use Common University Entrance Test (CUET) marks for undergraduate admission in the academic year 2024-25. "According to information available to us, most colleges will enrol students in undergraduate courses such as BA, BSc, BCom and BBA based on the marks scored by the applicants in the last qualifying examination (Class XII board examination).It is going to be primarily admission on merit basis," commented Ranjan Kalita, general secretary of the Assam College Principals' Council.

Government Launches Five New Medical Colleges in AP
The Vijayawada State government is preparing to open five new public medical colleges beginning in the 2024-25 academic year. The medical and health department has applied to the MCI for permission to start lessons at the new colleges in Pulivendula, Paderu, Markapuram, Adoni, and Madanapalle. Each college would receive 150 MBBS seats, for a total intake of 750 seats.

NEP Will Make Students Globally Competitive in Education
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) chairman, T.G. Sitharam, declared that when Indian students complete the NEP's four-year degree program and integrate fields, they will be just as competent and globally competitive as international university students. Students with four-year UG Degrees UGC Announces Eligibility for Direct NET and PhD Participation
Candidates with four-year undergraduate degrees can pursue PhDs while taking the NET. Such candidates are entitled to appear (for tests) in a subject where they seek to pursue a PhD, regardless of the discipline in which they have achieved the four-year bachelor's degree.

Alert! IGNOU Admission 2024 Deadline Extended
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for new admission to the July 2024 academic year. Students planning to apply for the July 2024 session of online distance learning (ODL) and online programs will now have another registration deadline. The revised deadline is 15th October 2024. Previously, the registration deadline for the ODL and online programmes was 30th September 2024.
KEAM 3rd Round Counselling Final Allotment
The Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2024 Round 3 seat allotment results were announced by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala on 6th of September 2024. DU NCWEB 3rd Round Admission Cutoff Released
The University of Delhi's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (DU NCWEB) has announced the third cutoff list for B.A and B.Com courses. Students who have submitted an application for admission to DU NCWEB in 2024 may access the third cut-off list by visiting the official website, ncweb.du.ac.in. Furthermore, the admission process has commenced. Additionally, students may consult the University of Delhi's official website, du.ac.in, to verify the cut-off list.
TS ICET 2024 Counselling Begins!
The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) commenced round 1 of the registration procedure for TS ICET counselling 2024 on 1st September 2024. The registration will be done at the official website tgicet.nic.in. Candidates can register till 8th September 2024.
