The World University Rankings 2024 by Subject have been issued by Times Higher Education (THE) today. In four areas—physical sciences, engineering, computer science, and life sciences—the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has become the nation's leader. Within the Physical Sciences, IISc Bengaluru was ranked between 201 and 250.
Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), declared that more than two crore students nationwide had enrolled for the commission's Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). The final results of the Combined Defence Service (1) exam have been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). On the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in, candidates who took the CDS (1) final exam can receive their UPSC CDS 1 result in 2023.

All medical colleges have been directed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to provide data by October 28th about the students who were accepted into first-year postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2023–2024. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for new admission to the July 2024 academic year. Students planning to apply for the July 2024 session of online distance learning (ODL) and online programs will now have another registration deadline. The revised deadline is 15th October 2024. Previously, the registration deadline for the ODL and online programmes was 30th September 2024.
