Over 320 Students Graduate From The 6th And 7th Batches Of IIM Sambalpur

Convocation Ceremony at IIM Sambalpur: The sixth and seventh annual convocation ceremonies at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur have finished. The sixth (2020-22 batch) and seventh (2021-23 batch) convocations were held. Yashi Sharma of the 2020-22 batch and Astha Garg of the 2021-23 cohort were both awarded the Chairman's Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance for achieving first place in their class based on the highest CGPA.

Ambuj Priyadarshi of sixth grade and Gomathi SR of seventh grade both received the Director's Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance for achieving second place based on the second-best CGPA. Shreem Kohli of the 2020-22 cohort and Preeti Joshi of the 2021-23 batch received the IIM Sambalpur Gold Medal for best overall achievement based on scholastic performance, extracurricular activities, and institutional building efforts.

Similarly, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Signature Award was awarded to the toppers of the two batches (2020-22 and 2021-23), i.e. Yashi Sharma and Astha Garg.

“This year, IIM Sambalpur has achieved remarkable 100 per cent placements, with the highest package INR 64.61 lakh per annum (domestic) and INR 64.15 lakh per annum (international). This extraordinary achievement shows an astonishing growth of 146.7% over the previous year. In addition, there has been a promising growth of 26% in average salary and 29% in average salary, which reinforces the institute’s commitment to providing rich career opportunities for its graduates,” Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, stated.
