Agreements were inked on Wednesday at the CM's official house for the development of PPP-model medical colleges in Shamli and Mau, while ratings for all nursing and paramedical schools in UP were also released under Mission Niramaya.

The CM presented mentor certificates to eight new institutions as part of the 'Mentor-Mentee' process, which was implemented to increase the quality of nursing and paramedical institutions.

According to Adityanath, the state has only 12 medical colleges prior to 2017. "After 2017, medical colleges will be established in all districts of Uttar Pradesh to realise the Prime Minister's concept of 'one district-one medical college.'" Government medical colleges are currently active in 45 areas and under construction in 16 others," he emphasised.

According to the CM, prior governments neglected paramedical/nursing institutions, the state medical faculty was in disrepair, and there was no emphasis on excellent teaching. "The situation demanded something like Mission Niramaya, and the government delivered." As part of this, 12 excellent universities were designated as mentors. Eight more institutes have been elevated as mentors as a result of the ongoing reform process with the mentor-mentee policy. "This is proof of a changing system," Adityanath stated.

Quality in educational institutions, according to Adityanath, cannot be compromised. "Whether it's a medical college or hospital, a nursing or paramedical college if the quality is there and the standard is met, the benefits must reach people as soon as possible."
