Education News
On the eve of India's G20 presidency, the United Nations Foundation (UN Foundation) and the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW, India) introduced the Next Generation India Fellowship.
This fellowship is a chance for young Indian leaders and thinkers to gain first-hand experience in understanding and solving the world’s most pressing challenges.
The future Generation India Fellowship is a part of the UN Foundation’s Our Future Agenda programme and CEEW’s focus on building careers in public policy. This scholarship is specially drafted to enhance original, maverick, and substantive ideas from the youngsters of India for an imperishable future.
As per the official letter, this scholarship will last for two years. It will promote open discussions about the G20 presidency's theme of "One Future," forge agreement on a "future agenda" for young Indians, and investigate options for investing in their generation while safeguarding the requirements and rights of future generations.
The fellowship focus area includes a diverse range of focus areas, including public health, sustainable cities, new technologies, culture and communities, gender equality, the future of the workforce, affordable and clean energy, and oceans. With the help of the expertise and mentoring of the UN Foundation, CEEW, and partner resources, fellows will develop a deeper understanding of policymaking, strategic planning, and international diplomacy.
