IMA Appeals To Reduce NEET PG 2023 Cut-off By 30%
Education News
By tackling a critical issue in the area of medical education, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has made a tremendous advancement. The IMA has requested a 30% reduction in the NEET PG 2023 cut-off percentile in a letter to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
The goal of this request is to make sure that a sizable proportion of aspiring doctors can enrol in postgraduate programs that are both clinical and non-clinical.
The IMA stresses the importance of honoring the contributions made by physicians during the Covid-19 outbreak. Medical practitioners showed unflinching commitment to serving the nation, frequently at great personal risk.
According to the IMA, lowering the NEET PG 2023 cut-off will show how much we value and recognize their selfless work. The NEET PG cutoff percentile for applicants in the General/EWS category is 50 according to the current norms, 45 according to General PwBD standards, and 40 according to SC/ST/OBC standards (including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC). Candidates must reach this percentage to be eligible for the test.
