The University Grants Commission (UGC) announced on Tuesday, March 5, the list of central institutions that have been granted Graded Autonomy under the University Grants Commission (Categorisation of institutions (only) for Grant of Graded Autonomy) Regulations, 2018.

Central University of Rajasthan, Central Sanskrit University, University of Delhi, and Central University of South Bihar are among the universities classified as Category 1.

Central universities in Category 2 include the University of Hyderabad, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Central University of Punjab, and Central University of Himachal Pradesh.
