IISc Bangalore wins Praj IISER Mimamsa 2023

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has been awarded the  ‘Mimamsa 2023’ the National Level Science Competition hosted by Praj-IISER.

The competition, this year got participation from 1,384 teams represented by more than 4,800 students from around 450 colleges across the country. The event was held at IISER Pune on April 9, 2023. The highlight of this year was the participation of 332 all-girls team, which is nearly a rise of 66% compared to last year.

The Finale comprising of three days of problem-solving rounds requiring a focus on critical thinking and science fundamentals. Four teams that made it to finals included IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Madras.

According to the institute, the event has been growing over the past three years 'Mimamsa' has grown by 375% in student participation and by 312% in terms of institute participation. Mimamsa provides a platform for budding science enthusiasts to demonstrate their potential.

IISc Bangalore was presented the winner’s trophy by Dr Pramod Chaudhari, Founder and Executive Chairman of Praj Industries at the CV Raman Auditorium, IISER, Pune.

Kudos to the organizing committee for their tireless efforts to make Mimamsa 2023 a grand success. We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with IISER to grow Mimamsa further. In an era dominated by Digital technologies, Mimamsa redraws focus on science fundamentals which is critical for innovation and research,” Dr. Pramod Chaudhari said.
