Droupadi Murmu addresses higher education success in the enrollment of girls and other backward classes!

In a recent speech at a joint session of Parliament, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted that dropout rates have decreased due to government efforts. In addition, girls are enrolling in higher education at a faster rate.
According to her, the number of Scheduled Castes (SCs) has increased by 44%, while the number of Scheduled Tribes (STs) has increased even more by more than 65 %. Students from Other Backward Classes (OBC) have also seen an increase of 44% in enrollment. Her speech concluded, "My government is continuously taking new initiatives for India's youth's education and skill development. For this, a new National Education Policy was framed and is being implemented rapidly. In the National Education Policy, emphasis has been laid on education in the native language and Indian languages. Teaching of subjects like engineering, medical, law has been started in Indian languages," it further added, "To provide quality education to school students, my government is working on more than 14,000' PM Shri Vidyalayas'. Out of these, more than 6000 schools have started functioning."
