As Interim VC Of State Universities, Bengal's Governor Assumes Leadership
Education News
Raj Bhavan on Friday released a press release that implied that the governor, Dr. CV Ananda Bose, will continue to serve as interim vice chancellor (VC) of institutions in Bengal where vacancies exist. This development came amid a dispute in Bengal over the procedures for selecting vice-chancellors (VC) of state universities.
The announcement emphasised that Bose, in his capacity as chancellor, has chosen to carry out the VCs' responsibilities in these universities until new interim VCs are appointed.
Additionally, students can contact the peace room by calling (phone number) 03322001642 or sending an email to amnesaamne.rajbhavankolkata@gmail.com with any complaints. While on tour, they can register online for the "Amnesame" programme and meet the governor in person at the Rajbhavan while on the tour, or at the circuit houses. Dr. Bose will also make frequent trips to the universities to meet the students until the positions are filled.
