New PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme: Student Loans Without Collateral or Guarantor Requirements
The Union Cabinet, led by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved PM Vidyalaxmi, a new Central Sector plan to provide financial assistance to economically weaker students so that financial restrictions do not impede them from pursuing higher education. PM Vidyalaxmi is another significant program resulting from the National Education Policy 2020, which advocates that meritorious students receive financial help through various methods in both public and private higher education institutions. Under the PM Vidyalaxmi initiative, any student admitted to a quality higher education institution (QHEI) will be eligible for a collateral-free, guarantor-free loan from banks and financial institutions to cover the total amount of tuition fees and other course-related expenses. The scheme will be administered using a simple, transparent, student-friendly, interoperable and digital system.

Alert! IGNOU Admission 2024 Deadline Extended
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for new admission to the July 2024 academic year. Students planning to apply for the July 2024 session of online distance learning (ODL) and online programs will now have another registration deadline. The revised deadline is 15th October 2024. Previously, the registration deadline for the ODL and online programmes was 30th September 2024.
KEAM 3rd Round Counselling Final Allotment
The Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2024 Round 3 seat allotment results were announced by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala on 6th of September 2024. Candidates who have registered for the counselling process can access the results by logging into the official website i.e, https://cee.kerala.gov.in/ with their application number and password.
DU NCWEB 3rd Round Admission Cutoff Released
The University of Delhi's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (DU NCWEB) has announced the third cutoff list for B.A and B.Com courses. Students who have submitted an application for admission to DU NCWEB in 2024 may access the third cut-off list by visiting the official website, ncweb.du.ac.in. Furthermore, the admission process has commenced. Additionally, students may consult the University of Delhi's official website, du.ac.in, to verify the cut-off list.
TS ICET 2024 Counselling Begins!
The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) commenced round 1 of the registration procedure for TS ICET counselling 2024 on 1st September 2024. The registration will be done at the official website tgicet.nic.in. Candidates can register till 8th September 2024.
