ISRO Launches First Space Education Lab in Arunachal Pradesh

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has developed a space education laboratory in Arunachal Pradesh's Keyi Panyor district. ISRO Space Tutor established the Lab in collaboration with Vyomika Space Academy.
According to officials, on Thursday, 14th November 2024, state Education Minister Mr Pasang Dorjee Sona inaugurated the state's first space education lab on Wednesday, 13th November 2024, at the Government Higher Secondary School Yazali.
The state education minister has welcomed the project as a ground-breaking initiative to inspire young people nationwide. During his first visit to the state, Dr Nilesh Desai, the Director of the Space Applications Centre (SAC/ISRO), highlighted India's rising commitment to space exploration.
At the inauguration, Education Minister Sona complimented the Keyi Panyor district administration's initiative, adding that the new district is setting an excellent example for the rest of the state to follow and that the space education lab will allow young minds to explore the secrets of space.
According to SAC/ISRO Director Nilesh Desai, India is making significant progress in space exploration, and introducing young people to space science will help speed the country's overall growth.
Mr Toko Tatung, a local MLA, also attended the initial event. Speaking at the ceremony, he stressed the importance of space science in education and encouraged teachers and students to use the Lab to its full potential.
Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, the Deputy Commissioner of Keyi Panyor, stated, "It is an initiative to not only educate but also inspire young minds to dream bigger."
