Odisha Universities Roll Out NEP 2020 in 2025

According to the statement, Honourable Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi decided to implement numerous reforms in the state's education system.

By the NEP, regular three-year courses will be replaced by four-year undergraduate programs. Upon completing each year of the four-year program, students can receive a certificate, diploma, degree, or degree with honours.

The statement stated that the state government has established a credit framework based on the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines. This framework allows students to earn credits by participating in extracurricular activities, community service, internships, NCC, and NSS, as well as skill development.

Students can independently select their subjects and complete their degree program within seven years, with the option of numerous entries and exits from their institution.

By the NEP 2020, the government has also implemented measures to enhance the higher education system's quality, autonomy, and inclusivity.

The NEP has been developed to encourage research and innovation through various initiatives, practical-based learning, and skill development through industry internships. The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said the courses will be more employment-oriented and meet industry needs.

The government has approved the detailed model syllabus for 40 core undergraduate degree courses, two skill development courses, 112 multidisciplinary courses, 14 vocational courses, 56 value-added courses, and 84 skill development courses.
