The Mock NExT Exam At AIIMS Delhi Is Cancelled For July 28
Campus News
The current final year MBBS batch was scheduled to take the new National Exit Test (NExT), which the Health Ministry declared had been "deferred" till further notice. Now, AIIMS Delhi has also announced the cancellation of the mock exam for the NExT.
The official notification reads, "In this regard, it is hereby informed that the National Exit Test (NExT) Mock/Practice Test scheduled to be held on 28 July 2023 stands cancelled as per communication received from NMC and the decision of the competent authority."
Since the registration process is now complete, AIIMS Delhi will also start the procedure for reimbursing the candidates' registration fees. The notification continued, "The registration fee refund process for candidates who have registered and paid fees for the Mock/Practice National Exit Test (NExT) has been initiated, and the registration fee will be refunded in due course in the specific account from which payment was made.
There are currently no additional test dates available for the mock NExT exam. The next class of MBBS graduates would be included in the scope of the new test, the health minister announced earlier this month.
The test must, however, be administered within three years of the National Medical Commission Act going into effect in 2020, so if it isn't done this year, the government will need to announce it in the gazette. By a gazette notice, the deadline was extended by one year until 2024.
