NSS State-Level Cultural Fest Held At SOA

Participation of students in National Service Scheme (NSS) activities will help them acquire qualities needed in their professional lives, according to Mr Bishnupada Sethi, Principal Secretary to the State Government in the Department of Higher Education, on Sunday. 

Mr Sethi stated that characteristics such as generosity and compassion were inherent in Indian culture and should be cultivated by pupils while referring to the Mahabharat.

e was speaking during the opening ceremony of the NSS state-level cultural event, which was hosted at the SOA. It appeared to be a university here. The event was attended by approximately 200 NSS Programme Officers and volunteers from 19 Odisha universities and the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).

While emphasising the notion of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,' Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor, SOA, stated that adapting to different circumstances could be the key to living a happy life.

Prof. Sharma spoke about the large number of volunteers involved in NSS activities and how their efforts were geared towards achieving a Tobacco-Free environment. Prof. Das outlined the activities being undertaken by NSS for the benefit of society.
