Manipal Institute of Technology, a constituent unit of Manipal, MAHE, one of India's premier higher education institutions, unveiled a first-of-its-kind undergraduate program in the B. Tech program in Computer Science and Financial Technology. As the sole institute in India offering this ground-breaking degree, MIT Manipal solidifies its reputation as a pioneer in innovative education.
Recognising the enormous potential of this programme, MIT Manipal has introduced the B.Tech. Programme in Computer Science and Financial Technology to bridge the gap between computer science and finance. This one-of-a-kind programme, which has been authorised by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), intends to provide students with the skills and information needed to flourish in the fast-evolving fintech industry.
MIT Manipal remains devoted to its legacy of pioneering breakthroughs, drawing inspiration from the rich banking history of Karnataka's Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. Dr. T. M. A Pai, Padmashri awardee and founder of the Manipal Group, was also the founding father of Syndicate Bank and is credited with developing the 'pigmy deposit plans,' which served as India's initial step towards small-scale deposits.
