MCD school principals would receive training at IIM Ahmedabad and other IIMs

Principals from MCD schools will now undergo school leadership and management training at famous universities such as IIM Ahmedabad and other IIMs, in a significant move aimed at improving the quality of education in these schools. This strategy is similar to the effective teacher training initiatives that have been implemented in Delhi government schools.

TRAINING BEGINS AT IIM AHMEDABAD
During a news conference, Education Minister Atishi said that the first batch of 50 MCD school principals would begin training on June 29 at IIM Ahmedabad. This seminar aims to change MCD schools by providing principals with high-quality skills and knowledge.

IMPROVING ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
Atishi emphasised the improved academic achievement of children in Delhi government schools, not only in board exams but also in competitive exams such as IIT-JEE and NEET.

She did, however, acknowledge the problem of addressing the absence of core literacy and numeracy abilities among pupils migrating from MCD schools to Class 6 in Delhi government schools.

OBJECTIVES AND ASPIRATIONS
Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi underlined the importance of quality education in MCD schools during the formative years from nursery to Class 5. She underlined the importance of equipping instructors with new pedagogical skills and principals with good management abilities for students' overall growth.
