Indian Agricultural Research Institute wins the top rank among universities offering agriculture and related disciplines in NIRF 2023

Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs, today released the "India Rankings Report for 2023." Agriculture and allied sector have been included as subject domains for the first time; previously, there were four categories and seven subject domains.

In its debut year, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, bagged the top spot with a score of 83.16.

With a score of 70.45, the National Dairy Research Institute of ICAR in Karnal, Haryana, took second place. Banaras Hindu University finished fourth with 63.68 points, followed by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, in third place with a score of 65.98. With 61.71 points, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University took fifth place.

Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, took the sixth place, and they were followed by the same organisation at the seventh slot. The GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, took ninth place.

The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology of Kashmir, Srinagar, and Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, located in Hisar, respectively, took the final two spots in the top 10.
