In contrast, IIT Delhi graduated a larger batch of 672 students, with 541 placed and a higher median salary of Rs 17.6 lakh. Both institutes reported similar figures for students pursuing further education, with IIT Madras having 17 and IIT Delhi having 101.

IIT Delhi's graduating cohort grew to 835, with 676 placed and a median salary of Rs 20 lakh. The number of students opting for higher education decreased to 50.

Although IIT Delhi's placement performance and median salaries are superior, indicating stronger industry connections and higher compensation, IIT Madras has demonstrated notable progress in placement and educational advancement.
