IIT Bombay Introduces New Scholarship for Female Students

The Kotak Kanya-IIT Bombay scholarship, a result of the partnership between KEF and IIT Bombay, offers significant financial aid of Rs 2.85 lakh each year until the completion of the professional graduating course/degree. As per the institute, this substantial financial support not only eases the burden on the scholars and their families but also promotes the overall development of scholars through student involvement and completion of school activities.
Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have scored 75% or more marks or equivalent CGPA in Class 12th.
- The candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs 5.00 Lakhs.
- Meritorious girls who have secured admission to the first year of graduation programmes in the academic year 2024-25 at IIT Bombay for graduation degrees like BTech, BS, BDes and integrated Master's programmes.
- Candidates must be within the top 20,000 ranks in the advanced Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced)

- The scholarship is designed to prepare students for the professional world through a comprehensive approach, providing financial aid, mentorship, life skills, and mental health workshops.
- Selected students will get engagement assistance, including mentorship, life skills, and mental health workshops, in conjunction with finishing school organisations.
- KEF, in its commitment to supporting students on their academic path, will also provide additional Unstop and Marrow subscriptions to engineering and medical students, further enhancing the benefits of the scholarship.
