The 14th batch of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak's flagship Post-Graduate Programme (MBA) was recently welcomed, with women accounting for 78% of the incoming cohort.
"The new batch's gender diversity breaks IIM Rohtak's record of 69 per cent female representation, which was established last year," the institute claimed. This new class has a number of outstanding achievers, including national medalists in swimming and karate. There is also representation from 24 states and union territories in the batch. IIM Rohtak held its induction ceremony on July 1 and 2 to welcome and sensitise the new class.
Several eminent personalities attended the ceremony, including Kamal Kishore, Member Secretary of the National Disaster Management Authority; Sameer, lyricist and Guinness World Record Holder for writing the most songs; and Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain (retd.), recipient of multiple awards including the PVSM, UVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, and VSM. Prof. Dheeraj Sharma presided over the ceremony and welcomed the dignitaries and students.
