IIIT Bhubaneswar's New Director Is Ashish Ghosh

The governor of Odisha, Ganeshi Lal, has appointed Ashish Ghosh to the position of director of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Bhubaneswar. At the Technology Innovation Hub of the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, Ghosh is a professor and the project director at the moment.
Ghosh's employment will last for five years, starting on the day he starts in his role or until additional directives are given, whichever occurs first. He has been a teacher for 28 years. Official sources state that he has written ten articles and guided ten PhD students. The institute was established as a society in November 2006. The government of Odisha converted the institute into a university in January 2014.
According to Ghosh, he would raise the calibre of the institute by encouraging faculty members and students to prioritise learning and research. He will make an effort to support the institute's initiatives for innovation and incubation. He stated that establishing connections with industries will be a primary goal.
He said that in order for students to find employment right away after graduation, they will also seek to improve the placement situation.
