IGNOU Revises MBA Banking And Finance Qualifying Criteria

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has changed its MBA Banking and Finance admission requirements. Candidates seeking admission to the IGNOU MBA Banking and Finance degree would no longer be required to hold a CAIIB certification and two years of work experience in the banking and financial sector, according to the updated requirements. Candidates who have finished their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) will now be able to apply for admission to IGNOU's MBA Banking and Finance Programme. 

Today, the IGNOU Regional Centre Ahmedabad announced a change in the admission criteria via its official Twitter handle. “The eligibility for admission to MBA Banking and Finance has been revised. Now no need for Banking experience and no need for CAIIB. New Eligibility- Passed Bachelor Degree Of Minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks-45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category,” reads the tweet. 

Notably, the MBA in Banking and Finance is a key management programme offered by the IGNOU that was established and funded by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). The programme is available at the institution in both open and distant learning modes. Candidates who intend to apply for admission to the programme should visit the official IGNOU Admissions website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
