Global And National Rankings For IIT-Guwahati For The Previous Five Years

One of the leading universities for Engineering and Technology education is the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-Guwahati). In collaboration with the online learning platform Coursera, IIT-G also introduced new online courses this year for its Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

It has held that position for the last five years, according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), a publication of the Ministry of Education, in the engineering category. According to the NIRF 2023 rankings, IIT-Guwahati is among the top 10 universities in India for both general education and engineering programmes.

IIT Guwahati was ranked 87th out of the top 100 universities in the world that are under 50 years old in 2014. The Times Higher Education (THE), a publication based in London, provides the rankings. IIT Guwahati was founded in 1994, and its academic programme got underway in 1995. It comprises 5 schools, 11 departments and spans the humanities, management, and engineering.
