The registration portal for the newly added BTech programmes is expected to be launched by the University of Delhi next week. Haneet Gandhi, DU's Dean of Admission, announced this at the admissions webinar.

This academic year, Delhi University launched three BTech programmes under the Faculty of Technology, with admissions based on results from the Joint Entrance Examination (Main). In addition to JEE results, candidates must have at least 60% or higher in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as have passed English as a subject of study and have finished Class 12 from a single accredited board. There are 360 seats available in total, with 120 seats per course. BTech in Computer and Engineering, BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and BTech in Electrical Engineering are the courses available.

Gandhi stated that this registration will be distinct from CSAS. It will have its own registration page, which is expected to go live next week, and students will be required to put out their preferences when applying. They will be assigned seats based on their performance and given preference.

These courses will be distinct from the BTech in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation (IT and MI) offered by the University's Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC). This course is admitted via the Common Seat Allocation System.

The University will also provide financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Students with family incomes of Rs 4 lakh or less would receive a fee remission of 90% at the time of enrollment, while students with parental incomes of Rs 4 lakh to Rs 8 lakh will receive a cost waiver of 50%.
