Chandigarh University Secures Approval for India’s First AI-Enhanced Campus in Unnao!

The Uttar Pradesh government has greenlit a groundbreaking initiative:Chandigarh University is set to establish India’s first AI-integrated campus in Unnao. On 19th September, Higher Education Minister Mr Yogendra Upadhyaya officially handed over the authorisation letter to university officials, marking a significant step forward in education innovation.
The expansive campus, which will span 63.53 acres, is in Parsandan village along the Lucknow-Kanpur highway. Unnao and five other districts are part of the State Capital Region (ACR), which was designed to enhance educational connectivity in the area.
According to Chandigarh University’s director, Mr Jai Inder Singh Sandhu, this futuristic campus will kick off its academic offerings in the 2025-26 session, featuring 45 cutting-edge courses across five key disciplines: Engineering, Business Management, Computer Science, Health, and Liberal Arts.
The new AI-integrated campus at Chandigarh University will offer various programs across various disciplines. In Business Management, students can choose from 14 graduate and post-graduate courses, including Business Administration, Applied Finance, Digital Marketing, and AI-related subjects.
The Health Sciences department will feature six specialised programs: Pharmacy, Forensic Science, and Physiotherapy. Additionally, Biotechnology and Data Science graduate courses will be offered under Basic and Applied Sciences.
The Liberal Arts will present seven diverse options: Psychology, Journalism, and Education. The Chancellor, Mr Satnam Singh Sandhu, highlighted that this campus aims to leverage the power of artificial intelligence to foster innovative thinking and provide holistic education.
