Beginning In June Next Year, Deakin University's GIFT City Campus In Gujarat Will Accept Students

When it starts accepting students in June of next year, Deakin University, the first foreign university to establish an international branch campus (IBC) at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), is anticipated to charge half the tuition it does in its home branch of Victoria, Australia.
According to Ravneet Pawha, vice president for global alliances and CEO for South Asia at Deakin University, the campus, built on a 25,000-square-foot site, would serve as a hub for networking, learning, and employment opportunities.
Authorities at Deakin University said that it will soon commence hiring administrative and academic staff and issue guidelines for application and enrolment for courses at the GIFT City campus.
Officials at GIFT City said, a team from Australia was in Gandhinagar on Thursday to participate in a roundtable meeting with representatives of over 25 industries to discuss future collaborations with Deakin.
