50% Of IIT-Madras Of Students Were Placed In Phase I

On December 1, the IIT placement 2023-24 phase 1 officially began. Towards the end of the first round of IIT-Madras placements, there was a significant surge in hiring from the core industry.
So far, IIT Madras has placed around half of its students. This year, more than 55% of the youngsters who were placed came from low-income families. In comparison to the previous year, there was a significant increase in abroad offers for postgraduate students. The median wage offered by employers in the first phase of IIT-Madras placements 2023 was more than Rs 19 lakh.
This year, IIT Madras saw a 19% rise in internship offers on the first day of the campus internship campaign for students in the 2023-24 class. The internship fair took place on August 5 and August 12. Seven foreign companies made 19 overseas internship offers to students. The number of students receiving internships climbed by 17%, while the number of companies visiting campus increased by 51%. Among the main recruiters who participated in the internship campaign were Texas Instruments, JP Morgan Chase and Co, Adobe, Procter and Gamble, and Dr Reddy's Laboratories.
