The Oxford University Press India Has Launched A Wellness Curriculum
Campus News
Oxford University Press India, in collaboration with content partner Rangeet, has created the first Wellness Curriculum in India to help school-aged children comprehend emotions, grow an active body, form good relationships with others, and understand the necessity of environmental care
My Happiness and Me is a set of eight activity workbooks aimed at youngsters in grades 1-8. The programme is designed to help children navigate their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. The series is now available, addressing a critical need that traditional education could not fill.
The wellness curriculum is consistent with the vision established in the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023, which emphasises the holistic development of students. The course helps learners internalise healthy practices, discriminate between good and unpleasant feelings, and gives them with methods to handle them, therefore contributing to SDG 3 (good health and well-being).
