The chief guest for the 11th convocation will be K Radhakrishnan, a former head of ISRO and the current chair of the Standing Committee of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Council. Professor Faizan Mustafa has been named vice president of Chanakya National Law University. Before joining CNLU, Professor Mustafa was the dean and registrar of Aligarh Muslim University. Professor Thalappil Pradeep of IIT Madras has received the prestigious Eni Award for his innovative studies in energy and the environment. The prize honours his groundbreaking breakthrough in supplying affordable clean water through the use of sophisticated nanoscale materials. The prize will be presented to Professor Pradeep by the President of Italy in the near future.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for new admission to the July 2024 academic year. Students planning to apply for the July 2024 session of online distance learning (ODL) and online programs will now have another registration deadline. The revised deadline is 15th October 2024. Previously, the registration deadline for the ODL and online programmes was 30th September 2024.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee released the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2025) admit card on 7th January, 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The examination is scheduled for 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th February 2025. It will last three hours.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, has released the IIT JAM exam 2025 admit card on its official website. Candidates scheduled to take the examinations may now obtain their hall permits by visiting jam2025.iitd.ac.in. On the examination day, the admit card is an entry permit for candidates.
