Indian Institute of Technology - Ropar

IIT Ropar was established by MHRD in 2008. The classes for academic session 2008–2009 were held at IIT Delhi. The Institute started functioning from its transit campus in Rupnagar in August 2009. IIT Ropar is among the eight young IITs ranked 81 as per “THE Young University Rankings 2022”.The institute is ranked 31 by the NIRF in the engineering category. It ranks 351- 400 on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings with an overall score of 43.6 to 45.5. In the QS Asia Rankings 2021, the institution ranks 225th among other Asian institutions.
IIT Ropar courses are offered at different levels such as graduation(i.e. B.Tech. in Chemical Eng. etc.), Postgraduate Degree (i.e. M.Tech. in Civil Eng. etc. ), doctoral levels, and many others.
