Prabhat Kumar College (popularly known as Kanthi College or by the abbreviated PK College) is one of the oldest college, located in Contai, West Bengal, India. It was established on July 15, 1926, as an Art College with thirty-nine students under the University of Calcutta. In 1985, the college got affiliated to Vidyasagar University and awarded Ã¯Â¿Â½Potential for ExcellenceÃ¯Â¿Â½ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Presently, around seven-thousand students are studying in PK college. The college has twenty-three different departments, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various specializations including Arts, Science and Commerce. It also provides Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course.
