UGC Selects University Of Jammu As The Lead Institution For Implementing The NEP In J&K
Education News
The University Grants Commission (UGC) recently named the University of Jammu the nodal institution in charge of implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The institution is extremely proud and honoured by this accomplishment.
The UGC has given the University of Jammu the crucial task of carrying out the directives specified in the National Education Policy 2020 and several recommendations and guidelines.
Notably, UGC has established five zonal committees as part of the larger endeavour to aid in the voluntary implementation of NEP across higher education institutions across the nation.
As a result of its new position, the University of Jammu will be instrumental in raising awareness of NEP, organising programmes, and providing advice to higher education institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. This will give them a forum to share and adapt best practices.
This admirable move by the UGC demonstrates the University of Jammu's leadership and dedication to furthering education, but it also represents a crucial step towards the successful realisation of the transformative objectives of NEP-2020 in the region.
