UGC urges state board to encourage students to write CUET UG 2024
Education News
In a recent move, Professor Manish Joshi, Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC), has written to the Chairpersons of all State Boards, requesting them to encourage student participation in the impending Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the academic year 2024-25.
The CUET UG Exam, required by the Ministry of Education and regulated by the National Testing Agency (NTA), acts as a gateway to admission into various undergraduate programmes offered by Central Universities and other partnering institutions across India. With the registration period extended till March 31, 2024, Prof. Joshi emphasised the necessity of telling students about this opportunity and encouraged them to sign up via the official website.
The letter emphasises the dynamic character of the list of participating universities, which is constantly updated on the NTA website. Notably, CUET (UG) 2023 saw a large attendance, with around 15 lakh students taking the exam.
