Tinder & Yuvaa jointly launched ‘Let’s Talk Consent’ course on Coursera

Tinder, a global dating service, is offering a first-of-its-kind online self-learning course called Let's Talk Consent, which focuses on interpersonal consent. This course is being offered in collaboration with Yuvaa, a young media organisation in India.

This new course will be available via Coursera, an online learning platform. It will offer instruction on interpersonal consent to young adults in India.

This 90-minute multimedia course uses questionnaires, projects, and real-world examples to provide a sophisticated knowledge of consent in everyday circumstances. The course contains modules that cover:

— Understanding consent in interpersonal relationships.

— Establishing and upholding personal limits.

— Identifying signs of healthy and harmful relationships using red, green, and grey flags

— Managing online and offline interactions safely and respectfully

Tinder's 'Let's Talk Consent' course is currently open for registration on the Coursera website, and those interested can join up for free.

Tinder decided to introduce this course based on a 2022 study that found that 67% of young adults supported the inclusion of comprehensive consent education in schools and colleges. Furthermore, 65% of young adults took steps to personally understand the notion of consent, and 6 out of 10 young adults sought additional information and safe spaces (both physical and online) on consent.
