The Executive Council (EC) of Delhi University also granted a one-time age relaxation for voting and participating in elections for student unions.
The EC's meeting, which is the university's top governing body, took place on Friday. The university released a statement saying that a one-time age relaxation of three years had been granted for candidates and voters in the Delhi University Students' Union elections. "This year, the maximum age limit has been increased from 22 years to 25 years for undergraduate students and 25 years to 28 years for postgraduate students," the statement read. During the meeting, the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts also approved starting the PhD in Fine Arts programme in 2023-2024.
To be qualified to continue in the programme and submit the dissertation or thesis, a PhD researcher must receive a minimum of 55 per cent of the possible points, nine credits, or its equivalent grade on the UGC 7-point scale in the course work. According to the statement, each credit entails four hours of teaching.
With 76 places initially available, the Department of Commerce is launching the new MBA (Business Analytics) curriculum. According to the statement, the National Cadet Corps-III and Vedic Mathematics-III courses will be implemented beginning with the academic year 2022–2023. The EC also adopted the proposals of the Value Addition Courses (VAC) Committee.
