The Ministry Of Education Has Launched A Website For Foreign Students Called Study In India
Education News
Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education, and Dr S. Jaishankar, the Union Minister for External Affairs, today jointly launched the Study in India (SII) webpage. The portal is an online resource with the sole purpose of providing data on higher education institutions (HEIs) in India.
It will feature courses in the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), which includes Yoga, Ayurveda, traditional arts, and more, as well as undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees from HEIs. The portal will include details on the academic resources, research assistance, and relevant information offered by the institutes.
Students will have the option of applying to multiple institutions or courses of their choosing. It will serve as a one-stop location for all student registration, visa application, course selection, and institute offer letter needs. The scheme would provide overseas students looking for higher education options in India with a streamlined and organised application process.
The portal, according to the Union Minister for External Affairs, represents the government's commitment to making India a centre for education by accepting students from different backgrounds. The event also featured students from Russia, Thailand, Japan, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Korea who are now studying in India, in addition to the numerous ministers and ambassadors from more than ten other nations.
