All educational institutions in Hyderabad have been closed on Tuesday due to heavy rain forecasts.

Due to the forecast of heavy rain, all educational institutions in Hyderabad have been declared closed on Tuesday. The same has been notified via the official Twitter handle of the Hyderabad collector: "In light of the heavy rainfall forecast in Hyderabad, the government has declared today a holiday for all educational institutions in Hyderabad. Stay indoors and stay safe."
Even though Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) staff are clearing waterlogged areas, the roads are still blocked. It has been heavy raining since the early hours of the morning. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the city. A 24-hour orange alert indicates heavy rains.
People are requested to only step outside their homes for the next few hours if necessary, as civic teams with over 3,000 personnel are working to clear waterlogged areas across the city. There is a possibility of moderate to severe rain or thundershowers today in parts of the city with intense spells, according to the Met department.
