Plan Festivities To Commemorate Constitution Day On November 26: UGC To Colleges And Universities
Education News
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has encouraged higher education institutions to make students aware of Constitution Day 2023 and encourage them to engage in the festivities planned as part of it. Every year on November 26th, India celebrates Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
Reading the Preamble to the Constitution and reiterating the pledge to uphold its principles is a significant part of the celebration, according to the UGC, who also stated that a provision has been given on the MyGov portal to 'Read the Preamble' online and get a certificate.
The UGC has proposed that colleges and universities conduct additional events such as seminars and webinars on constitutional ideals and fundamentals of the Indian Constitution. The Commission has asked the higher educational institutions to upload the activities conducted along with photos and videos on the University Activity Monitoring Portal (UAMP) at uamp.ugc.ac.in.
