New Dates for UGC NET?

On Friday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced a revised schedule for UGC-NET June 2024. The examination will be administered in computer-based test (CBT) format for 83 subjects from August 21 to September 4, 2024.
The notification regarding the city of the exam centre for UGC-NET June 2024 will be posted on the NTA websites, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, approximately ten days before the exam.
The UGC-NET has three objectives: awarding a Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as an Assistant Professor, appointment as an Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programs, and admission to PhD programs exclusively.
On August 21, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will be administered in two sessions. The initial session, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, will cover electronic science, performing art (dance/drama/theatre), Japanese, and English. The second session, which will take place from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM, will cover English, Dogri, Spanish, Russian, Persian, Comparative Study of Religions, and Hindu Studies.
On August 22 2024, the UGC-NET test will be given in the first shift for Social Work, Home Science, Music, French (French Version), Adult Education/Continuing Education/Andragogy/Non-Formal Education, Indian Culture, Buddhist; Jaina; Gandhian and Peace Studies, and Archaeology. Education and Public Administration will be conducted during the second shift.
On August 23, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will cover Computer Science and Applications in the first shift. The second shift - Bengali, Chinese, Rajasthani, Arab Culture and Islamic Studies, Kashmiri, and Sociology.
The exam will be conducted on August 26, 2024, for Philosophy, Nepali, Manipuri, Assamese, and Santali in the first shift and Hindi and Oriya in the second shift.
On August 28, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will cover subjects including Museology & Conservation, Economics, Rural Economics, Co-operation, Demography, Development Planning, Development Studies, Econometrics, Applied Economics, Development Economics, and Business Economics, in the second shift --Punjabi, Tamil, and Geography.
On August 29, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will cover subjects including Maithili, Arabic, Gujarati, German, Pali, Prakrit, Bodo, Sindhi, and History in the first shift and Marathi, Kannada, and History in the second shift.
On August 30, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will cover the subjects of Anthropology, Psychology, Defence and Strategic Studies, Population Studies, Linguistics, Visual Art (including Drawing & Painting, Sculpture, Graphics, Applied Art, and History of Art), Social Medicine & Community Health, Forensic Science, and Tourism Administration, Management, Law and Sanskrit.
On September 2, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will cover the following subjects: Malayalam, Urdu, Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management, Criminology, Tribal and Regional Language/Literature, Folk Literature, Konkani, Environmental Sciences, Indian Knowledge Systems, Sanskrit Traditional Subjects (including Jyotisha/Siddhanta Jyotish, Navya Vyakarna, Vyakarna, Mimansa, Navya Nyaya, Sankhya Yoga, Tulanatmaka Darshan, Shukla Yajurveda, Madhav Vedant, Dharmasastra, Sahitya, Puranotihasa, Agama), Management (including Business Administration, Marketing, Marketing Management, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Personnel Management, Financial Management, Co-operative Management), Physical Education, and Telugu.
On September 3, 2024, the UGC-NET exam will cover the subjects of Commerce, Library and Information Science, Politics (including International Relations/International Studies, Defence/Strategic Studies, West Asian Studies, South East Asian Studies, African Studies, South Asian Studies, Soviet Studies, and American Studies), Women Studies, Human Rights and Duties, and Mass Communication and Journalism.
The UGC-NET exam will cover political science, comparative literature, and yoga on September 4, 2024.
