NMC Warns Against Fake Permission Letters Issued To Medical Colleges In Andhra Pradesh

The National Medical Commission (NMC) explained that under the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) name, a fictitious letter of authorization was provided to the GSL Medical College in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, for an increase in MD seats. The commission claimed that because the college had not submitted a request for more seats, the MARB president had not issued the letter.

The application of the college under NTR University of Health Sciences has been approved for the academic year 2023–2024, according to the fictitious letter dated March 24, 2023. "This permission for increase in seats of above mentioned PG course and admission of students will be for such time the first batch of admitted students against the above course papers appears for the final examination in the subject," it stated.
