NLSIU 31st Convocation 2023: 1,699 Students Graduate; 20 Bag Gold Medals

During its 31st convocation in 2023, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) presented 43 gold medals to 20 graduating students. Two Bachelor of Arts and Laws (Honours) programme graduates, Jwalika Balaji and Vidisha Singh, were among the honorees and took home six gold medals each. A total of 1,699 students graduated that day, including 1,490 from the university's online and hybrid PACE curricula, which it offers in two batches.
NLSIU made a number of academic announcements at the ceremony, including a new research policy, combined degree programmes with renowned foreign institutions, and the restart of the admissions process for overseas students.
Krishnaswam also emphasised that the institution's governing bodies had decided to resume accepting international students into its academic programmes; second, to develop twinning, dual, and joint degree programmes with top universities around the world; and third, to establish strong research alliances with a select number of universities that would aid in the advancement of new and valuable knowledge in a variety of fields. In each of the two batches for the Post Graduate Diploma programmes, the top 14 students received diplomas in recognition of their accomplishments. The medal winners gave the NLSIU credit for boosting their self-esteem and giving them a supportive group.
