On Saturday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that education is a vital accelerator for sustainable development and tackling common global concerns. India's new education strategy is a conceptual model for all growing nations.

Speaking at the third Voice of Global South Summit, Pradhan emphasised the collective efforts of education ministers from Global South nations. They are united in their commitment to achieving educational goals and leveraging their combined capabilities to enhance education systems, paving the way for a more resilient, prosperous, and sustainable future.

"Education is a powerful catalyst for sustainable development and addressing common global challenges. Education is crucial not just for nurturing skills but also for talent, innovation and building resilient communities," Pradhan said.

Pradhan highlighted the transformative impact of India's new National Education Policy (NEP) on the country's educational environment. The NEP is ushering in a paradigm change, creating a more dynamic and inclusive educational landscape.

"The NEP-2020 is bringing a paradigm shift in India's learning landscape. The NEP envisions developing India's youth as global citizens and positioning India as a 21st-century knowledge economy.

Pradhan emphasised that the NEP is not just a policy but a philosophical blueprint that all economies can adopt. Its adaptability underscores its potential to influence and shape the global educational landscape.
