Nearly 1500 New Colleges To Come Up In Maharashtra This Year: Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra's government has plans to build 1,499 additional colleges throughout the state. Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister, made the declaration.
This choice was made public during a meeting of the Maharashtra State Commission for Higher Education and Development (MAHED) at the Sahyadri Guest House, presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ji.
The Deputy CM reported that this meeting considered and approved a five-year plan (2024–29) for choosing the locations of these prospective institutions. During this meeting, experts were pleased with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
