University of Leeds unveils India Anniversary Masters Scholarship 2024

The University launched the India Anniversary Masters Scholarship 2024 to support students from India who want to pursue a master's degree. With more than 40,000 students from about 140 countries, the University is one of the largest higher education institutions in the United Kingdom. With the launch of this scholarship program, the University has significantly advanced its mission to promote academic excellence and collaborative learning with India. 

Under the India Anniversary Masters Scholarship 2024, eligible candidates will receive financial assistance for their tuition in various master's programs.

Indian citizens who have been offered admission to the University of Leeds' full-time master's program are eligible for the award. Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic record, ability to positively impact the university community, and goals for the future in the subject area they have selected.

Qualification requirements:

  • The scholarship is only available to Indian citizens.
  • The student must be self-sufficient and registered as an international fee-paying student,
  • The student's chosen master's program must start at the University of Leeds in September 2024,
  • The candidate must fulfil all the requirements of the academic offer and indicate on the application page that they have accepted it,
  • If applicable, the student must have paid a tuition fee deposit of £3,000 by the date specified in the offer letter,
  • The student must be registered as a University of Leeds student starting February 2025,
  • It can be awarded any available Department/Faculty scholarships or external funding if it is at most 100 percent of your tuition fees.

This scholarship programme marks a significant milestone in the University's commitment to fostering educational partnerships and academic excellence with India. The scholarship provides £5,000 per candidate towards tuition fees, with no limit on the number of scholarships available. Eligible students will automatically receive this award as a tuition fee deduction in their second semester without needing an additional application. This scholarship can be combined with any Department/Faculty or external funding, provided it does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
