IIT Kanpur Set to Welcome Opportunity Open Source Conference 2024

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is preparing to hold the Opportunity Open Source Conference 2024 in partnership with the Linux Foundation, OpenPrinting, Canonical, and Zephyr.

According to the institution's news release, the Open Source Conference (OOSC) is a flagship event committed to encouraging creativity, cooperation, and learning in the open-source community. Developers, enthusiasts, industry professionals, and academics will attend the conference to learn about the most recent open-source trends, tools, and projects.
 

Industry professionals will deliver captivating speeches and engage in panel discussions, sharing their knowledge on a wide range of open-source subjects. The impact of the 2023 conference at IIT Mandi, which led to the selection of 11 GSoC (Google Summer of Code) contributors, serves as a testament to the inspiration and motivation this event can bring. 
 

This year's conference will attract many open-source fans, developers, and contributors. Till Kamppeter of OpenPrinting and Aveek Basu of the Linux Foundation's GSoC will chair the meeting.
 

According to the release, experts from Canonical, the Linux Foundation, and OpenPrinting will provide interactive seminars such as 'Introduction to Linux Kernel Development' and 'DevOps Practices with Ubuntu,' which will provide hands-on learning opportunities.
 

Participants will have the unique chance to engage in Q&A sessions with pioneers and innovators. This will provide them with direct insights into the most recent advances in open-source technology, making them feel connected and involved in the industry's latest developments.
