BHU Appoints Professor SN Sankhwar As The Next Director Of The Institute Of Medical Sciences

The Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has a new director: SN Sankhwar. He is the department head (HoD) of urology at Kings George Medical University in Lucknow and a urologist.

Sankhwar also serves as the KGMU's Chief Medical Superintendent. "He is renowned for his academic and medical accomplishments and has extensive managerial experience. According to the statement, his specialities include female urology, endourology, male infertility, and general urology. He has contributed to Kings George Medical University in various academic and managerial roles.

Department of Paediatrics, Institute of Medical Sciences, carried out the first allogeneic stem cell transplantation in an 11-year-old child with relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
